Where the Rams need to put their money

February 25, 2019 09:53AM
The Rams need to put their available dollars into the following places, in the following priority.

1) Oline
2) Dline
3) ER
4) Secondary

If Whit stays (and I suspect he will given his good health) then the Rams need to do what they can to keep Saffold but they cannot break the bank on him.
If Suh goes (probably will) some mid level older vets like Mebane would be the best pick ups.
ER is a good place to spend money IF they can get a guy who is seriously worth it. ERs are often WAY overpaid, so it's hard to know if they can get someone worth having. But because of Donald, the Rams would be better to spend larger dollars on an ER than a DT to replace Suh.
I can't imagine not keeping both Peters and Talib. First, they form a good duo and they are affordable. FS of course is a need, but it can be either a draft pick or it can be a solid mid-tier veteran.

I hear a lot of talk about a TE. I think the lack of passes to a TE has more to do with the WRs the Rams have, scheme, and Goff's inclination to push the ball down the field. Now, if they could get a game changing weapon like a Gronk, I get it. But I don't think that's in the cards.
