He fits what we do quite well, and he can play either Center or Guard. I think he'll be around this year at least what with his $2M cap hit too. Rams might even extend him this offseason, for that matter, if they can get a number they like.
They could still upgrade on the interior through the draft, especially if they can't get Saff signed. But they might just be looking at depth to continue building the line with guys ready to step in like the Pats do. If Saff gets signed they'll have two guys making plus money in him and Havenstein.
I expect Whit will sign an extension for sure here soon due to his cap hit of $15M which is untenable. If they can reduce his hit and keep Saff around then they're lookin pretty good tbh.
I think Blythe is slightly above average as well. He allows very little sacks and is versatile at playing gaurd and center and only really struggled in the NO game and Super Bowl.
I read that his play was tailing off down the stretch due to Sullivan struggling and Blythe having to help out with Sullivans man at times.
I know they both werent great but PFF had Sullivan as our weakest lineman in the Super Bowl. NE was stunting a lot and it confused them both.
