L.A.Rams
During a long drive yesterday, I had several hours to think about the Super Bowl and concluded that it was a battle of coaches. Bill Belichick versus Wade Phillips. Sean McVay was a no-show. Belichick's strategy was for his defense to blanket the Rams receivers. Phillips inexplicably used soft coverage on the Patriot's receivers, and that was the difference in the game. Leading up to the Super Bowl, I had a feeling that it could mark the end of an era for the Patriots and their 41-year-old QB. After managing to score just 3 points against a team that gave up 325 points (an average of 20.3 per game) during the regular season, however, it seems possible that it's McVay's day in the sunshine that has come to an end. He may never again have as much firepower on offense or as much overall talent. He came to the Rams with fresh ideas that resulted in a potent offense, but it appears that his ideas have gone stale.
It's no wonder his ideas have gone stale, I mean he's been a HC for TWO WHOLE YEARS!!! It's no wonder every other coach in the league has him figured out. And since he's so old you know old dogs can't learn new tricks so there's no way he'll ever think of new things.
Man, the Rams should just fire him right now.
