rams were 5th in passing and 3rd in rushing. This is consistent of the Martz years where the Rams were top 5 in both. What is also similar is the excellent yards per carry during the Martz years and McVay years. The Rams were 3rd in yards per carry.
The Rams typically don't waste plays today.
If you run the ball, run it well philosophy.
The Passing Stats went down hill after the Rams lost Kupp and Gurley started to go gimpy, but the key to the Rams offense is creating space and doing what is unpredictable. Play action is a part of it, fake screens, routes to clear space for other receivers etc.
But make no mistake, this team can throw it once Kupp is in the mix if he makes it back healthy. Remember he was on pace for line 1400 yards and 17 touchdowns after the 5th game. The Rams were on pace to have 3 1000 yard receivers so I don't see what you are saying at all and find it very confusing how a team that was about three 1000 yards receivers - well you consider it a team that can't pass.
That is a head scratcher.
