Did anyone catch CJ saying that "Todd was going to give as much as he could" statement after the game? that to me says he was going to go as long as he could until the knee/ankle was too much of a factor. I think they were hiding something and they sure as hell are not going to blare out what it was after the fact to get docked a draft pick. Even a healthy Gurley would have had a hard time behind that turnstile of line last night. We had no plan B...we just didn't. I watched Eric Mangini just say how NE did dictate the game and let the rams bunch up near the LOS so they had the advantage.
Mangini said the fact we did not try anything completely different from this season was a factor. He went on to say that McVay lost to a brilliant pliable mind that adjusts to whatever you can do. If McVay learned anything last night (and I think he did) its that you cannot depend on the other team to be predictable, if you do, that one is on YOU.
The fact that we did not have a healthy Gurley and Kupp surely affected the game...how much ...I don't know.
