Hymmm...our inexperienced showed tonight. Goff and Mcvay will hopefully learn from this. Gotta give the Patriots credit.
i felt this way last year after the 1 & done playoff game, at home no less. i like to believe mcvay & goff learned alot from last years post season loss and grew from it based on what happened this post season.
i expect this superbowl experience can end up to be invaluable in learning and growth in the long run for mcvay and goff. they are both so young and to have made it to the big stage against the 2 masters who have owned this stage for way too long now is an incredible accomplishment and developmental opportunity.
mcvay and goff aren't going away. they'll study, dissect and analyze obsessively and incorporate what they learn into their plans and behavior. they may or may not be back next year, but they'll be back.
on the other side of the ball, wade is worth every penny. his experience on this stage showed in spades tonight. if all of us could have seen into the future before the game but just enough to see only what the pats final score was but not the rams, everyone of us would have KNOWN that the rams won the game. holding brady to 13 points is unbelievable and even brady was unhappy with that performance.
experience matters.
and mcvay & goff just got a doctoral level dose.
