the non-call didn't lose the game for them. There were 3 more series where they could have kept from losing the game... and they didn't... even got a gift makeup PI call.
As a long time Ram fan, especially through the Fisher era... I have learned that if a call or non-call is going to decide the game for your team, then your team didn't do enough to win the game.
1. With the lead, all the saints had to do was stop the Rams and they win but GZ kicks the game tying FG.
2. They win the coin toss. TD wins the game. FG puts them ahead. But Brees threw an INT.
3. Stop the Rams and they get the ball back... but GZ kicks the game winner.
And if the noise makers in the stands and the mysterious headset issues with Goff's and Mannion's headsets weren't a gift for the saints I don't know what is. They basically got a free quarter of football. They had ample opportunities to take the game out of the officials hands and couldn't do it. The non-call on the PI did not lose the game for them. They did that themselves and the better team won.
