On the one hand, Suh has been invaluable these past 2 playoff games. That is no small thing.

But on the other hand, where was this effort all year? I would prefer another player next year on this DL. Might not have Suh’s high ceiling, but would give us 100% of what he’s got. Suh’s coasting for 15 of 18 games is unacceptable, IMO.

As an aside, I don’t think Suh has kicked it into overdrive because of the financial incentives. They’re insignificant when compared to his financial status. No, it’s because of the playoffs and the possibility of a ring. A ring would stroke his ego and possibly open other financial opportunities for him.

That’s my take, anyway.
