but I really don't think you're right. It is VERY much in my memory that making a move OUT of the end zone in an attempt to advance the ball meant a safety if you were tackles in the end zone.

Absolutely "KEEPING" the ball in the end zone is a touch back... not saying THAT changed.. .always been that way.
