It's not an issue of tech guru it's an issue of basic logic.
What would be the point of blocking just one helmet even if they COULD do that? All the qb would do (as he did) is wear the other helmet.
(And remember they're not like phones, both Mannion and Goff receive the same signal. If you block the signal you block both helmets. Which obviously didn't happen.)
