I think Drew Brees is quite a guy, a really nice guy on and off the field.. but I am SO glad we don't have to hear about his 40-yr old Superman persona returning 10 years later to play in SuperBowl LIII in what could have been a matchup of the old-guy quarterbacks.
All we heard ALL.Week.Long on every frickin' sports talk show was how painfully loud the Superdome would be and that it was the toughest place to play in during the playoffs and their fans are like totally rabid, dedicated noise makers like none anywhere and that the Rams wouldn't be able to handle it. Saints fans see it as their RESPONSIBILITY to be loud and totally disrupt and disarm the opposing team. Well, the Rams walked into the Thunderdome of the South and OWNED it. All that noise didn't mean gumbo. So there!
Loved seeing Sean Payton's puckered lips turn into bulging neck veins and unintelligible rants and raves at the officials for the missed PI call. He's obviously used to being the DOer in that situation and not the Do-ee. All that goes around comes around.
I'm preening like a rooster that the snot-nosed 30-something year old inexperienced head coach unseated the older, experienced, and savvy head coach for the NFC Championship. Can ya'll tell that Sean Payton is not on my Friends of MamaRAMa list?
MOST media analysts picked the Saints. Few picked the Rams. Just goes to show... they don't know squat. No more than you or me.
And now... I'm gonna have some dinner and my celebratory margarita.
