And BTW: this is not predicting a Rams win.
I'm saying that the Eagles were getting within an eyelash of being a team of destiny with Cinderella Foles finding yet another glass slipper.
Teams like that can be nearly impossible to beat.
On the other hand, the Saints who had every advantage barely pulled this one out and in the process revealed some warts; mainly that their offense can be stopped and their defense can be run against (something that Pederson seems to have forgotten even after some decent success).
Losing Rankins would be like the Rams losing Suh. He's the guy who controls the middle of the line. If I'm the Rams I'm thinking run, run, run.
For me, this game is a toss up. Rams D is playing much better than the first time they played the Saints, and the Rams run game is also better thanks to the addition of Anderson, and to our Oline deciding that they can out physical anyone.
The Saints scoring machine has noticeably slowed down.
Nonetheless, this is going to be a good one.
