Resume is unbelievable: 5th all time in receiving yards with decades of seasons and thousands of receivers is pretty special
1) He played great on bad teams. 1781 Yards on that bad 1995 team
2) He played great on great teams. From 1999 - 2004 (5 out of 6 1000 yard reasons with the other one at 981 yards because of injury)
3) He adjusted role on great teams and did what was willing.
4) Best route runner in history of game
5) Very smart player
6) Willing blocker
7) Overachiever - self made player
8) 13th all time in receptions
9) 5th all time in yards and at one point in his career I believe he was #2 behind Jerry Rice before the modern day football rules allowed others to pass him.
10) 12th all time in receiving touchdowns
And lastly, he was the key player in the superbowl win during the playoffs. He caught the first touchdown in the first play of the playoffs on a long touchdown reception and he caught the winning superbowl touchdown on a long reception.
His superbowl catch is underrated as it was set up to be an interception as the ball was underthrown and the defender had the inside track and could have screened off Bruce for the interception, but he didn't tip off the defender and made the adjustment at the perfect moment and pulled it down for a 73 yard touchdown.
His stats on that game was 6 receptions, 162 yards, and 1 td and despite a great performance from Kurt Warner too, Bruce should have been the MVP of that superbowl for the catch.
Some good ones on that list
1) Gonzalez
2) Bruce
3) Coryell
4) Bailey
5) Reed
6) Seymour
7) Boselli (Didn't realize his career was so short though)
8) Lynch
That is how I would rate them.
