Which is why I think a guy like Justin Herbert made a mistake going back. He is an exception.
What we are seeing in this "not playing in the bowl game" follows the "me" movement in sports.
Mark my word, a player in the next few years will meet his requirements, and when it happens during a season, he will abandon his teammates long before a bowl game.
It taints the sport.
I understand the player's point of view. But, as a person drafting a "team" guy, I would likely move to another player.
