The team was in a death spiral when he took over....and remember they were winless last year. They probably won't make the playoffs....but Cleveland fans are mathematically still in it after December 15th. It has to be one of the more surprising turnarounds of a perennial loser since.....well...the 2017 Rams.
I concur and always had high regard for Williams as the Bounty Gate was being done all over the NFL and was embraced by Peyton, but again, it does not make it right. Anyway, he's done one heck of a job with the Browns and I still don't think he gets the gig. Just a feeling, but pundits gave him so much heat for saying he could've had several jobs, but him and the OC Freddie Kitchens have done it right along with Gregg's son Blake taking over the defense. Again, I just don't think he gets the gig, because I believe they will hire someone like a Mike McCarthy and beg Williams to stay on as DC and pay him and his son handsomely and they might stay.
