Yep.
If they had kicked a FG, the Broncos would have the ball on about the 25 with the need to score a TD. That's already a long shot. Getting a first down there would have ended the game, but a FG would have effectively made a comeback a very long shot.
Meanwhile...failing to convert...as they did...meant the Broncos got the ball at about the 20 with a need to score a FG. Just 40 or 45 yards for a shot at that.
That was the biggest window of opportunity for the Broncos to come back and steal the game, and Williams decision gave them that. It was a bad decision.
