Same can be said of every other major contender this year.
In fact...my bet is, whoever is NOT saying it about every major contender this year is just wearing rose-colored glasses.
Go through the list. What team does this NOT apply to---that the team has flaws so it is hard to pick a clear favorite:
Saints
Rams
Chargers
Chiefs
Patriots
Texans
Bears
Cowboys
I restricted the list to teams that are 9-4 and better.
It seems to me that whoever is saying any of those teams DOES NOT have some kind of flaw that keeps them from being a clearcut, objective unqualified favorite is just not being realistic. Homefield is going to matter a lot.
I know you were joking but the irony of the irony is, the joke can be read as realistic in which case it's much more accurate.
Way I see it, this is not the year to be making fun of views different from our own. Things will be surprising this year and pretty much everyone with 2 cents is going to be at least part right.
And. I hope in the end the team that makes it through to the finish line is the Rams.
