Why would a team with no special linebackers run 3-4?

I know having Wade at DC, helped McVay get the job and Wade is a 3-4 guy but the Rams have no special linebackers and special players everywhere else. A 4-3 line of Brock, Flowers, AD and Suh would work. After watching what the Boys did to the Aints, and the Bears did to us, I want a special linebacker. Heck maybe give Kiser some run cuz Barron is invisible. Our linebackers are the weakest unit on our team but it is the most representative in base personnel, not smart.
