I think naming it the MVP award makes QB's the most likely to win the award since they are the Most Valuable Player on most teams, including our own.
They should rename it the Most Outstanding Player award to allow someone like Aaron Donald a better chance at winning the award recognizing the player who had the most outstanding year.... if Donald keeps it up he deserves the MOP this year.
QBs would probably end up winning that award most of the time too but it would make it easier for a player at another position to win.
However, while I agree that QB is most valuable the majority of the time, there are those rare occasions when another positional player may exceed their value. For example, if you put Donald on teams with QBs ranked from 10-32, I'd probably choose his value to the franchise over the QBs.
