And losing Brown for depth hurt, but I actually felt because he was bigger offered more in the running game then Blythe. Blythe is brilliant with the scheme, but the big difference between the two is the pass protection with Blythe because of technique. Blythe is always set up correctly and never out of position, which can lead to a sack. Watching Brown against the Eagles, Michael Bennett gave him fits and Bennett sacked Manning multiple times. I had forgotten that Jamon struggled from time to time with pass protection, Blythe is a technician, when it comes to the Offensive Line and Aaron Kromer knew what he could cultivate and that's why the Rams claimed Blythe off waivers from the Colts.
