That's been his treatment of Goff from the beginning.
Goff is "for the most part accurate", "doesn't turn the ball over", "has enough arm", "better late in the down than he was", "has been up and down recently"
Then when the host said Goff put the ball right on Everett's hands, Cosell said that if you can't do that you're not much of a QB.
This is what I expected from him. He's a Philly guy and will never imply that Goff is as good as Wentz.
Cosell went thru a Goff-skepticism phase (so did i) but i think he sees what everyone sees now. I dont think his philly roots have anything to do with it, either.
I think all those phrases you quoted are prettymuch true.
My take on the interview was that he was being interviewed by idiots who didnt ask good questions or any follow-ups.
Its hard to describe Goff's 'accuracy' because its weird. He can throw INCREDIBLE balls. Passes that make your jaw drop. Into tight windows. Under pressure.
So that means he's incredibly accurate right? Well....not totally. Cause then theres those balls he throws where you go "WTF was that??" So he's Inaccurate? Well...no.....

Yeah, I get all that.
But I think you just described Goff a lot better than Cosell did.
Cosell does very well describing the WTF throws, but shies away from saying the word INCREDIBLE when describing any of his good throws. The throw to Everett was incredible, IMO. But Cosells reaction to it was if you can't make that throw then you don't belong in the NFL.
I understand those guys were clowns, but Cosell can still do better describing Goff.
