Andy Reid was already really hot about getting penalties by the time PI was called on the tipped pass.
The camera angle and zoom makes it hard to tell exactly how close Goff came to their sideline when Reid was confabbing with the officials.
I also can't tell whether Goff said something that Reid heard, or whether Jared was just trying to get close enough to catch the conversation.
In any case, Reid reacted with absolute fury to Goff, and waved him away very angrily.
I've never seen a HC react that strongly to an opposing player, especially a QB unless they committed some kind of egregious personal foul that threatened a players' health or something. All Jared did was throw a tipped pass. Geez, lol!
What was cool was that another official walking away from the dispute with Jared, gave Goff a wink. You can see it clearly. It was like he was saying "Pay no attention to that grumpy old man yelling at us to get off his lawn!"
Goff, OF COURSE, turned around and left with a totally cool and unfazed look on his face. Reid didn't come close to scratching his surface.
I do wonder if the crossbar finger roll later on was a special gesture for Andy Reid.
New subject. The peace sign from Tyreek Hill to Joyner. I believe that was called for an unsportsmanlike penalty.
When getting in the car for work this morning, a caller was on Sirius NFL and I think he was talking about that play.
I didn't start listening until the middle of the conversation. Anyway, he was saying that Hill flashed the sign before he scored the TD (I'm not sure about that, it was REALLY close).
The caller's question was - if the taunting occurred before the TD, shouldn't the penalty wipe out the TD?
I have no idea, if you did that, exactly how that would work? No TD, but Chiefs ball at the 15 yard line? 15 yards back from the spot of the foul?
