It takes a marriage......of QB and HC....to have a great offense

When we go back in history and look at great QBs and great offenses, what we consistently find is a great marriage between QB and HC.
Walsh and Montana.
Bellicheck and Brady.
And I think time will prove McVay and Goff.

Why? Because its a combination of the coach and player sharing a mindset, seeing the game the same way, and having similar temperament (aggressive vs. conservative), otherwise there's an uneasy clash. Also because the HC understands that you must build an offense around the best attributes of the QB and not around a predetermined system. Although that's not so easy to do.

Clearly Mahommes and Reid are on the same page. So are McVay and Goff. And up in the north, so are Nagy and Trubisky. Those pairings are going to go a long way together.
