I wasn't trying to pitch Rodgers as "lousy". In fact I started the last post by saying he was a good QB. I will even acknowledge that he is at least a very good QB. However the way the sports press fawns over him as if he is the second coming is inconsistent with what my eyes see. When he is able to pull off a comeback win, he is interviewed everywhere talking about how he executed yet another miracle. However....when his inability to execute results in a loss.....he just can't bring himself to admit it's on him.
One thing I like about the Rams culture....from McVay to Goff....is that they acknowledge when they F'd up and that they have to be better in certain moments. McVay says it about himself all the time. Goff told the world after the 2016 season that he admitted he was not delivering results as expected....and that he (and the team) will get if fixed. Good leaders acknowledge their part in the team failure.
Rodgers just can't bring himself to do that. Almost as if it's beneath him.
