Who said the game was worse today? The rules favor spread QB's though. There's a reason RPO's didn't used to work and are now all the rage. There's a reason QB's can step foot out of a college (spread) offense and be successful from day 1 in the NFL now. Receivers contribute almost immediately now too.

But let's not act like the NFL was just too stubborn or dumb to recognize these guys for decades. All of the rules that have turned the league into a Madden video game have given guys opportunities that they wouldn't have had in the past. Do you think Case Keenum would have been a full time starter in the '80's? Or Dak Prescott?
