the best things in life become very much clearer when such tragedy hits.
When my home burned down in '91 I was away.... in Reno for the air races. Home were my wife and two young daughters. My wife called me to let me know... and my heart stopped, "Are you OK?"..... "yes, we're all fine", her reply.
Hopped into my pickup to head home, this was 2am.... 5 hour drive... and having lost everything I owned, material-wise, I laughed and cried with glee for the entire 5 hour trip.
Pulling into my driveway at home... 2.5 acres of ashes... my wife and two daughter's stood in the driveway greeting me.... it was perhaps the best day of my life;. - JamesJM
