Rams remain Super Bowl favorites, but 3 teams are closing in

For the last several weeks, the Los Angeles Rams have been the Super Bowl favorites in the eyes of oddsmakers. They were the last unbeaten team, had the largest point differential and appeared to have the strongest roster from top to bottom.

They suffered their first loss of the season Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, dropping their record to 8-1. While it was certainly disappointing, this is hardly a sign of the sky falling in L.A.

The Rams still might be the best team in football thanks to their high-scoring offense, while the defense has been suspect since cornerback Aqib Talib went down with an injury. Those making the Super Bowl odds aren’t knocking the Rams from the top just yet, keeping them as the favorites.

According to BetOnline.AG, the Rams still have the best odds to win it all, despite the Patriots, Chiefs and Saints pulling a bit closer.

Another loss in Week 10 would ding the Rams’ Super Bowl odds further, but as of now, they’re tied for the best record in football and hold a half-game lead in the NFC for the No. 1 seed. There’s no reason to panic, and odds are just odds.

Even if the Rams aren’t atop the list when the season ends, they’re going to make the playoffs, And with Talib back in the mix, the defense will find its groove. This is still one of the best teams in football.
