Goff is really good but IMO Brees is even better. The Saints O line is also better and for sure their D secondary is better-maybe a lot better. They are also extremely well coached. When taken all together I think its inescapable that they are better than the Rams. Nevertheless, the Rams in the short McVay years are so much better at this stage than I ever thought they would that I really look forward to their games-something I didn't always do.
Completely disagree. I came away thinking the Saints had a couple more breaks go their way and we had a really, really poor tackling game. That was the Saints A+ game in their place. We were about a B or B- and still had a chance to win. Our secondary will improve when Talib comes back. Imagine him on Thomas rather than Peters. Imagine Peters on the other side rather than Troy Hill. Imagine Dante Fowler getting up to speed in the system.
The Saints were more desperate yesterday and they played like it. You know what, they should be. They know the window is closing fast on Drew Brees and that this year is probably their last, best shot. It won't matter come January.
