The Los Angeles Rams are preparing for their biggest game of 2018 as they’re set to face the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome on Sunday. They’re expected to have Cooper Kupp back for this pivotal matchup, but he won’t be the only key addition to the gameday roster this weekend.

After acquiring Dante Fowler Jr. from the Jaguars on Tuesday, the Rams’ pass rush looks stronger than it has all season. There are just three days of practice for Fowler to get up to speed in an entirely new system, the anticipation is that he’ll make his debut in New Orleans.

Sean McVay said Wednesday on the “Rich Eisen Show” that he’s not sure how much Fowler will play vs. the Saints, but he is expected to be on the field.

“That was a great job by Les and his staff, targeting it and being able to get it done. Dante is in right now getting his physical. Everything checks out … as quickly as we can get him up to speed will be how much we’re able to utilize him, but we’re expecting him to be ready to go this weekend and looking forward to getting him going in a Rams uniform,” McVay said.

As McVay mentioned, Fowler is in Los Angeles already, which would put him on track to practice Wednesday.

Fowler will likely slot in opposite Samson Ebukam as a starting outside linebacker, pushing Matt Longacre to the bench. Given Fowler’s lack of experience in a 3-4, expect Longacre, John Franklin-Myers and possibly Justin Lawler to rotate in at his spot.
