Could the Rams seal a trade for an edge rusher?

With the NFL trade deadline creeping up quickly (Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST), the Los Angeles Rams are reportedly looking at EDGE options for trade.
Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer claims the Rams (among others) are looking for edge rushers to trade for. He name dropped guys like Dante Fowler Jr. from the Jacksonville Jaguars, Leonard Floyd from the Chicago Bears, and even mentioned teams calling about Jadeveon Clowney from the Houston Texans (though not the Rams specifically).
Floyd and Fowler are both former first round picks with the former’s cap hit coming in at $4.3m on the season and the latter at $7.3m on the season. The remaining names that were dropped in the report (Clowney, Bruce Irvin) weren’t directly linked with the Rams, and it likely has to do with their cap hits coming in at $12.3m on the season and $8.25m on the season.
Peter King of NBC Sports is now reporting similar news also claiming the Rams after an EDGE:
The Rams, speaking of “baseball trades,” want a pass-rusher. I hear defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is lukewarm on Denver’s Ray (having coached him two years ago), and if the Jags make disappointing high first-round pick Dante Fowler Jr., available, the Rams would have interest. L.A. is unlikely to deal swing guard Jamon Brown for a late-round pick, though there’s been interest. He’s a low-cost insurance guy for the line.
There is also an interesting tidbit in there that teams around the league have had interest in trading for benched RG Jamon Brown though the Rams likely see enough value to keep him around unless the compensation becomes greater.
