Perspective on the Defense

As we are all aware the modern game is geared for Offense. The rules are in place to allow this...NFL encourages a "passing league" format. Points and fantasy#s equal higher ratings that just the facts of the modern era game.
Like a lot of you I'm "old school" love a good defensevie game.

What is the most important defensive stat to you as a fan?
Because while we slam our 8-0 Rams defense,
I'd like to point out that 12 teams in the NFL have played 8 gms the rest because of Byes have played 7

Of the 12 teams that have played 8
The Rams are 2nd to only Baltimore in pts allowed.

Their are also some factors I think involved that go overlooked....Teams with high power offenses generally playing from a lead play a little more prevent "bend but don't break" style defense more than willing to exchange Fgs for TD's.

Their has been a few occasions when this Defense was asked to answer the Bell in key situations and has come through .

Do we need some stuff cleaned up? Of course!! All teams do

But it's all about the scoreboard and that says 8-0
I think we are like + 109 on the season so we average beating our opponents by 13pts a game....I'll take that any day any season
