NFL teams completely overvalue picks. There was a 90% chance that Cooks would outplay whoever was taken in his spot and that proved to be true.

If you evaluate players for picks history, the player that is a good player that is being dumped outplays the pick position, I say 90% of the time.

The only advantage is the cap savings of going after the pick so I get that factor a little bit, but quality vs quality, the roll of the dice doesn't work out with the pick being better.

This Jacksonville deal was a steal. The Browns will probably cut the player they pick in the 5th round and Jacksonville has a 1000 yard runner.

Agreed 81. This same discussion cam up when we first did the trade for Cooks. Some people were against it if I remember correctly. I happen to agree with you that it is a smart way to supplement a team. EVERY draft pick is a gamble. Even the first overall pick. I will take the "sure thing" every time and twice on Sunday!

Our Rams are finally doing "smart" things again and man, it sure feels good!!

Goooooo Rams!!

#HelmetHornsMatter

“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.

“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
