I just don't think this run it 3 times and punt mentality is in McVay's DNA especially when we're still in the 3rd quarter. Maybe he embraces that approach with 4 minutes to go in the 4th but the 3rd quarter is kind of early to get into that frame of mind.
I am very glad that he's aggressive and doesn't buy into the conservative field position game in the 3rd quarter. I don't ever want to see that.
To err is human. If his error is over aggressive play calling, I'll take that over the alternative every day of the week.
that started with a minute left in the third quarter. He ran it 7 times in 11 plays. He also openly criticized himself for his play call on the third and three on the last play of that drive that led to the missed 47 yard field goal.
