That crowd was never really in this game. They never believed the Broncos had a chance. You will rarely ever hear a Broncos home crowd quiet like that.
The Rams defense played really well with the exception of 2 or 3 plays in the first half. Peters was much better
Rob Woods is fantastic just a very very good football player. He is running that jet sweep very well in addition to what he brings to the table as a WR. Mr reliable.
This zone blocking scheme has this oline teeing off on teams. Havenstein showing good athletic ability running and moving people.
I stand by my comments on Sunday. Sean didn’t seem to run the ball enough in the first half and when he got into the redzone on the first two drives he got away from Gurley and promptly had to settle for FGs. Then another thing that annoyed me is on the second possession on 3rd and two for whatever reason he passed the ball again rather than give it to Gurley who at that point was averaging 12 yards per carry lol. Then to my surprise he doesn’t go for it but kicks another FG. Just weird.
Also later in the half on 4th and 2 the Rams line up as if they are going to run a fake punt. Why? Line up and give the ball to Gurley and take that first down. No need to try to trick anyone with a fake. They cannot stop you from running.
Loved seeing Kupp coming back after the injury. This year we have seen Aaron Rodgers carted off only to come back and the other day the same with Kupp. We also saw Cooks take a monster hit last week only to come back the following week. It’s nice to see when players come back from injuries that look so serious.
Not sure what was bothering Goff other than Denver’s pass rush which I don’t think the Rams really respected or even adjust to which bothered me. I see the same while watching again.
Todd Gurley ate them alive. I would have fed Gurley and Brown Bronco all game long. Goff would not have thrown more than 20 passes in this game with the way the Rams were running the ball. Gurley should have had more touches in the first half and I would have just pounded them into the turf with Gurley and Brown in the second.
The second half defense wasn’t awful but they gave up huge chunk passes to Keenum. Look for SF to really go after Hill and Peters if he tries to pull the same stunts he did two weeks ago.
Also look for SF to try and isolate Kettle on JJ.
On Sunday I was really annoyed because the Rams are obviously so much better than the Broncos but I felt the “Rams” kept Denver in the game. They let the Broncos stick around and it nearly came back to haunt them.
The Goff int after the JJ int deep in Rams territory was just so unnecessary and was exactly what I meant about the Rams keeping them close.
The missed FG by Santos after Chubb sacked Goff for the 5th time turned the momentum to Denver and was huge
Good win for sure on the road. The Rams the last two weeks have shown they are talented enough to win even when they don’t play or coach their best.
It would be nice to see them be sharp as they head into this tougher part of their schedule.... I’m convinced they will need to be
