Peters did have a really poor game, but I think that's out of character.

The run defense was actually not that bad in the first half. It was the third quarter where they got gashed repeatedly. McVay said yesterday that he thought it was a coachable, fixable thing. I certainly hope so!

But a lot of what happened on Sunday were a bunch of cumulative little things that were beyond the Rams' control.
  • Goff's first interception was just flukey. How different is Sunday's game if we get 7 there?
  • Tied at 7-7 and knocking in Seattle's door, McVay dialed all the right running plays to Gurley, but the Seahawks just defended it really well. Gotta give the other team credit there.
  • The rain was a factor, as I think Goff lost his grip on the ball on that end-of-the-half drive because it was wet. Stinks, but again, just a flukey thing.
  • Russell Wilson extended a lot of plays in his usual ridiculous way. He's struggled to do "his thing" against us for a while, but you knew sooner or later it was going to happen.
  • Santos' missed PAT came out really weird. It wasn't a miss it was a total flub. Again, maybe a weather / field condition thing.
  • As many have already noted, the refs were just awful. Missed holding calls. Missed late, late, LATE after-the-whistle block in the back with about 2:45 left in the 3rd quarter -- a hit which literally sent a Ram airborne for three yards. And, of course, no flags on the concussion hits. Frankly, even on the legit calls they made the head referee sounded tentative and unsure of himself. They were just NOT professional at all.
  • Seattle came to play with a giant chip on their shoulder. We took the best shot they're probably going to give anyone all year... and THEY LOST. Snicker Smiley
