Rams only have 52 men on the roster. Can't carry a third year player on the PS when that occurs. Guessing it is a salary cap thing the Rams are doing.

Rich Hammond@Rich_HammondRams couldn’t keep a third-year guy on PS if they only had 52 on main roster. Why only 52? It basically was explained to me as…no need to call up a PS guy who would be inactive and eventually would get dropped again and thus be exposed to waivers. Return of Obo also looms.
