Check your PM message I sent it
ZN said not to put links from other Ram sites in a message...
Don't listen to that guy...it will get you in trouble
Actual the rule is the opposite...anytime you post an article you are supposed to post the link along with it.
Steve is mixing up 2 different things.
I once PMed him and said that if you post a poster from another message board, you include the poster's handle/name but not a link to the other message board (which he had done). That;s just something I volunteered as a helpful board citizen.
But this time Steve is posting an
article, not a post, and mixed the 2 things up.
So yes it's true if you copy a
post written by a poster on another message board, you don't link that other message board.
But this is an
ARTICLE not a post, so yes you link the original source---always. Steve just confused that distinction. Of course the other message board is not the source of the article. (I never told him not to link
articles).
Be helpful in situations like this. Steve hasn't posted articles much so he did not get the distinction between posting a POST and posting an ARTICLE. The first you don't link, the 2nd you always do.
So yeah you always link to the original source of an article. You can't post articles without that link.
But of course the confusion came in because Steve accidently assumed that the other message board was the original source of the article, which it isn't.
