That was pretty awesome, a great combination and IMO what is underrated about Goff is his ability to process the play calling of McVay, who gives him two plays in his ear and Goff determines the right play based on the defense.
I find it interesting that there are still people writing that Goff is basically an average starter and puppet for McVay. Stuff like, he can’t throw to his right, he’s not good under pressure, he’s not good on 3rd down, McVay is cheating by reading the defense in Goff's ear, and my favorite, Wentz drives the bus and Goff rides the bus.
I am fully confident that Goff will continue to improve, and not regress, which will make reading the dissenters even more interesting down the road. I don’t believe many will do a mea culpa, at least not a heartfelt one. Most will say they were fully justified in their assessment and that no one could have seen Goffs improvement coming. And that I will take as an insult to those of us who did.
