He's the face of that era for them.
The Warner-led Cards made it to a Superbowl, but didn't win, so a scintillating, timeless moment was not created.
Warner only played here a few years. He wasn't drafted here.
They loved him briefly during that great playoff run when he played at his best in a Cardinal uniform, but that quality of play and that love didn't last.
You don't see large numbers of Cards fans still walking around in their Warner jerseys. Nope.
Cardinal fans don't think of Kurt Warner with nearly the love and reverence that so many Ram fans do.
They don't really think about him much at all.
And that's the truth.
