Was that Jared Goff's performance was "Kurt Warneresque". Warner had a game against the Dolphins in which the Dolphins decided that their secondary (which was excellent) could match up with the Rams passing game, and so they went with a four-man pass rush and five DBs most of the game. With little pressure, Warner just carved the Dolphins apart. It didn't matter that the Dolphins had great coverage on the Ram receivers, Warner kept putting the ball in perfect spots. One pass probably was less than four inches away as it zipped past Zack Thomas's ear hole and hit Marshall Faulk in stride.
I saw the same thing Thursday night--the pass to Kupp in the right corner of the end zone, the seam route to Woods, the perfect deep ball to Cooks all looked like the heydey of Kurt Warner and the GSOT. If Goff can keep subtly improving, this era of Rams football may be the one that we have all been hoping for all of these years.
