i'm curious about dante fowler of the jaguars. haven't really watched much of the jaguars but i think i will tomorrow.
on the wrong side of the scales, he has plenty of off field baggage so far. apparently did not learn how to drive properly evidenced by 10 traffic tickets since december 2015. there's always mass transit or uber or a chauffeur when you make millions of dollars a year . also arrested twice on childish misdemeanors. prone to costly penalties seemingly stemming from playing with mal intent. maybe suh & wade can help him channel that violence in a less costly manner? the jaguars declined to pick up his 5th year option for next year. don't know if the young man (24 years old) can be expected to behave in la.
on the right side of the scales, just judging from stats, he looks productive at pressuring the passer. 14 sacks in 2016-2017, 10 of them last year and 2 of those were in the championship game against the pats. i like the fact that he's been in a championship game and stepped up. 4 run stuffs, a couple forced fumbles and flashed his straight line speed in a 53 yard fumble recovery for a td. maybe all that's a result of that great supporting cast at the jaguars defense, idk. i don't think he can be counted on to cover receivers in space but that's not why anyone goes after this guy.
anyone familiar with fowler, ramgator perhaps since fowlers a gator?
