Vikings: sober minded look

September 26, 2018 08:43PM
Ya, they are missing Griffen, the DE, but their defense didn't get old or bad, it is still has very good players from the #1 defense of last year.(read bold below)

The real Viking defense (cut and paste fr someone else):
"on the flipside their shutdown defense from last season, which finished 2017 ranked league best in fewest offensive points allowed, currently ranks 16th, middle of the pack, in offensive points allowed... thing is their defensive statline looks very good in terms of yards per play allowed, qb rating allowed, rush yards per attempt allowed, all top 10, but they've given up some offensive points, nothing like last season so far."

So, anyone who thinks our offense looks good hasn't considered the defenses we have played. Vikings can play at a top 5 level---and they will tonight. So, we will find out about our "#1" offense.....which it isn't, yet.

This game reminds me of Rams at 0-5 playing in 2002 vs Raiders--Warner and Jamie Martin out, Bulger the unknown in. The whole Rams team got lifted up somehow...and they crushed a great Raider team. The Rams didn't lose their talent, they had lost something--and they got it back. This is the same thing with this Viking game. The Defense will crush the Rams in the first quarter----and then, we will see what Goff has. Right now Goff is a top 5 QB...yep much more effective than Rogers and Brady right now (the knee injury is killin' Rogers and Brady is hung out to dry).
