Is it just here or have Sports Bars gone down hill??

Seems like in the 90s, Sports Bars were sooooooo much more fun. Even during the bad 90s for the Rams, I still had a lot of fun. The last 3-4 times I have gone to sports bars....the last times being 4-5 years ago, it was very dull. Even with the Jags game on.
