I have no real answer to this question. But, if one is going to consider it, one has to understand that the 2 are very different. Each has a form of superiority over the other. How you choose is unclear to me.

The GSOT was a big play explosion machine. Our current O cannot match that.

Our lads today are, I think, essentially a ball control offense, which is essentially what the WCO always was. I don't think the GSOT could match the current bunch at grinding out 1st downs and the clock.

Personally, though natural enough, I think the question leads a discussion in an unproductive direction.

But if it is going to be entertained, one must recognize that what makes each good is quite different.
