It’s not always possible to avoid landing on the QB every time.
There was a Personel foul on a steeler tonight where the steeler had already launched himself towards Fitz before he started his slide.
Fitz was almost verticle at the time he was hit because he was trying to get every yard he could although he had the opportunity to slide earlier.
Maybe they should consider getting feedback from the refs in the booth watching replays to overturn some of these penalties if they feel they are not warranted.
This should satisfy the need to protect the QB and the integrity of the officials which would minimize controversies.
Another solution might be to allow coaches the opportunity to challenge personel fouls like other calls.
