He JUST came off the street! I recall many calling for G.Z.'e head when he missed from INSIDE 40 a few times. Remember Jeff Wilkins? He had an entire season slump where he was kicking the ground! EVERYONE was screaming "CUT THAT BUM!" A season later, he was money. And how many times did he save our asses with perfect on side kicks? Ficken filled in just fine last season. I doubt he has forgotten how to kick. Just needs to get in sync.
Honestly, I don’t give a rip about Ficken or his feelings, gator.
All I care about is the Rams and their SB chances. I think we’ve got a shot, and I don’t want to “settle” for a kicker during this run vs so many difficult teams on our schedule.
Any option that enhances our chances is worth consideration, IMO. Right now, Ficken looks like a loose cannon. Maybe it’s nerves, I dunno. I think that we can do better. And I think that the Rams owe it to themselves to look under every rock for alternatives that might be better.
Nothing personal against Ficken. It’s just business.
