So, some questions:
  • Do these mid-season signings have cap implications of some kind?
  • Would Santos as a 5th year player cost significantly more than Ficken?
  • Is it possible, depending on above answers, Rams figure that Ficken is the best bang for the buck (maybe they want to save some cap space for other potential injury patch-up signings)?

Also, it looks like Santos didn't even play all 16 games in 2017. Was he just bad? Did he get a bad injury?

I'd love for Ficken to work out (it would make a nice story), but on the surface it seems like, "Why not Santos?"
