What no one is mentioning is that Goff took control of the game, we lost our two starting corners and San Diego was not only moving the ball on our D, they were putting up points. Many times I witnessed Goff surveying the field, not locking on to one receiver, and making great decisions. He threw the ball out of bounds twice and tucked it and ran. That is not a system QB that is the making of a franchise QB. He has always had that cool calm patience but today he did it by constantly looking off or going through his progressions and making the the right throws. HE OUT DUELED A FUTURE HOF!
The throw to Woods on the right sideline, the improvised (on both ends!) one to Kupp under duress that went for the score - special stuff.
What we still haven't seen is how he'll handle being knocked down a bunch of times over the course of a game. Hope we never see it, but...that'd be another important test.
