Goff really sells the play action, and some of the other deception that the Rams do.
In a game where split second reactions count, his ability to convince linebackers and safeties that it's going to be a handoff is crucial.
I've seen a lot of QB's that just go through the motions on play action, like it's a ritual gesture or something.
They stick the ball out for a second in the general direction of a RB who is nowhere near actually getting the handoff. And fool no one.
And the timing on that tap pass to Gurley. That was impeccable. It's not that easy, folks.
