Zero pass attempts to the TE. All to the WR's and some to the RB's. It was effective.
Goff threw for 233 and had at least 87 yards on PI calls. He threw to th RB's 8 times (five catches for TG (3) and MB (2). Cooks 5/87 in 8 shots to him, Woods 3/37 in 9 targets, Kupp 5/57/1TD on 9 targets. PI's on at least two, maybe three. 2 PI's on Cooks, one on Woods.
Either McVay was trying to confuse Gruden and Co. with no TE or a combination of they are not very good/saving them for other game plans....
Just want to add that Goff missed a few of those deep throws by mere inches. That will tend to scare the heck out of a secondary and the DC on future snaps.
And I predict that Goff and his receivers will soon be up to game speed where those inches disappear and those deep throws turn into catches.
